Demonstrates skills and knowledge to

comply with all relevant safety requirements including isolation or shutdown of machines use of safety and lockout devices and attachment of appropriate warning tags

interpret work orders

interpret raw materials product and machine specifications needed for machine setting and maintenance

perform normal testing setting and maintenance of machines

investigate improper operation of machines and identify and rectify operating problems

conduct sample runs of machines and check products against required standards

perform operator maintenance of work area

document and communicate work related information including reporting of nonconforming outcomes and other problems
